Your blogger needs you!
In the coming weeks I am going to conduct a poll to find Britain's grumpiest celebrities. Anyone who visits this blog can nominate a celebrity, politician, or well-known person they would like to see on the list and I will then set up an online vote to determine the winner. I was thinking of having about 30 celebs to choose from and then the Top 10 would each receive a copy of It Is Just You, Everything's Not Shit for Christmas to cheer them up a bit.
So at the moment I am just seeking nominations. Please leave a comment with one or more suggestions and then I will set up an online vote. All in good fun, of course.
To get the ball rolling here are a few I have thought of already:
Gordon Ramsay
Jeremy Paxman
John Humphrys
Peter Allen
Sheila Hancock
Janet Street Porter
All nominations very welcome!

Griff Rhys Jones by miles.

On the basis of her Nobel prize, ah, "acceptance", I'm going to have to go with Doris Lessing.
Gordon Brown
Arthur Smith
Who's that bloke on Top Gear? the big feller? Jeremy Clarkson? Ramsey or Paxman would get my vote too but surely sending them your book will cheer them up and then their professional images could be destroyed, they might sue you! :-)
Menzies Campbell probably - just at the moment. Is Griff Rhys Jones grumpy? He always seems very cuddly to me.
Have we had notable journalist-puncher Russell Crowe yet?
Bob Geldof -- he once told me to fuck off. Actually, it sounded more like 'awrgh furrrgov'.
Wendy Richard - so rude and miserable, flicking ash from her fag stuffed in her ridiculous cigarette holder.
Professor Yaffle
Simon Cowell
Hugh Grant - if you find acting such 'torture' and hate the press so much then sod off and do something else
Jane Moore - the Sun Columnist and regular talking head on her namesake show 'Grumpy Old Women'
the red head from Grils Aloud - or is she just thick?
and Alex (the lead singer) from Arctic Monkeys
Sarah,
indeed Griff Rhys Jones does look cuddly but I have met him several times and he is indeed grumpy.
Please cheer him up.
Gordon Brown always looks grumpy and a bit sinister when he smiles...
Victoria Beckham's trademark pout (never one to smile) leads me to think she's a sourpuss. I believe it's illegal to have a celeb list without mention of at least one Beckham anyway.
Well, from this side of the pond, I'd say Ted Kennedy. He is always full of a complaint or nine and has no other speaking mode other than: rant.
There's others, of course.
I've only met Griff RJ a couple of times but he's always been completely nice, v charming in fact. Perhaps he's just selectively grumpy...
(And if you don't want to cheer him up, Sarah, I'll gladly volunteer)
